Women have a lot of tests to undergo through especially during these times. In the past, there were not so many womanly diseases. Besides, women of that time were not so concerned about their womanly health. But years passed and times have changed. Womanly diseases are very rampant nowadays. By womanly diseases, these are diseases concerning about the reproductive organs of women. There are many types of diseases in the reproductive organ of women this time. It is very important that a woman should have a regular check up with her gynecologist. But in some countries, people can still be very conservative and close minded. When a woman visits a gynecologist, it is presumed that she is pregnant. That is why most single women are very hesitant to go to the gynecologist for fear of being talked about as pregnant. They did not realize that it is a must for women to have check ups with her gynecologist as must be as frequent as possible. But because of wrongly conceived notions, most women develop diseases in their reproductive organs and by the time that they have it checked, it is too late. (more…)

Vaginal yeast infection is one of the most common infections of the vagina. It is usually characterized by extreme itchiness and redness on the folds of the vagina. When one has these symptoms, it is important to see a gynecologist as soon as possible. The article is a very detailed one that not only does it explain what yeast infection is, but also it informs its readers about the symptoms and how to prevent it. The article also helps in boosting the confidence of a teen when it started the news with a story about a girl who felt embarrassed about having to go to a doctor to have her condition checked. Therefore, it is normal to go to the gynecologist rather than diagnosing the condition by yourself. Sometimes, if not most of the times, self diagnosed diseases get out of hand and are mis diagnosed. It is very important to see a doctor right away at the first sign of symptoms and when one is unsure. (more…)

When a woman has a severe itching on her genitals, most women would conclude that it is yeast infection. However, this article points out that not all itching are yeast infection. It also added that itching can be caused by several agents. But most women would often assume that it is yeast infection that causes itchiness. Because of these notions, women often misdiagnose it and may further aggravate the condition by taking the wrong medication. According to the article, consulting a gynecologist is the best way to deal with these problems. But there is a simple test to identify if the vaginal infection is caused by yeast or not. According to some readings, the best way to identify the causes of different types of infections is through the vaginal fluid. The article states that vaginal infections have similar symptoms but generate different kinds of fluid. Therefore, never mind the symptoms, rather, concentrate on the fluid types. If one is unsure, however, better see a gynecologist right away. (more…)

Being a woman has lots of benefits. A woman is always perceived as unpredictable due to their abilities to change moods in an instant. When they change their moods, so do their actions. One minute they are prim and proper, the next they are the opposite. To complement their moods, they would also dress appropriately. Women also love to shop. They believe that shopping is the all time cure for depression, aside from chocolates of course. But if they have benefits, they also have a responsibility to take care of themselves. (more…)

Cancers have been a very common nowadays. But cancer was once considered as a disease of a rich man. It was very uncommon then that normal people would get cancer. However, times have changed and so did the diseases. Gone were the days that only the rich can afford to have this disease and are the only ones who can afford to undergo treatment.

Ten or fifteen years ago, there were very few types of cancers known to men. It was a common fact that smokers were susceptible to lung cancers and as for women, it seemed that breast cancer was a dreaded disease. But nowadays, there are many different kinds of cancers and it will strike at anyone, regardless of age and gender. For women, the most common type of cancer, even for the younger ones like teens and single women, is the ovarian cancer. It does not matter if one is sexually active or not. (more…)

Uterine leiomyomas, also known as myomas or fibroids, is by far the most common benign uterine tumors. Other benign uterine growths, such as uterine vas¬cular tumors, are rare. Uterine leiomyomas are usually diagnosed on physical examination and can be furthered diagnosed with the use of gynecology microscopes. They may be subserosal, intramucosal, or submucosal in location within the uterus or located in the cervix, in the broad ligament or on pedicle. They are estimated to be pres¬ent in at least 20% of all women of reproductive age and may be discovered incidentally during routine annual examination. Leiomyomas are more common in African-American than in white women. Asymptomatic fibroids may be present, when samples are viewd under gynecologic microscopes, in 40-50% of women older than 40 years of age. They may occur singly but often are multiple. They may cause a range of symptoms, from abnormal bleeding to pelvic pressure, which may lead to the diagnosis. Less than one-half of uterine leiomyomas are estimated to produce symptoms. (more…)
